2025_Renovation in via Monte Zebio, Rome

Residential renovation in Rome. 160 sqm (commercial)

Architect: Marzia Fiume Garelli – FiumeArchitecture

Engineering Consultant: Dario D’Innocenzo

Client: Anna Patrizia Jesi

Photography: Francesco Marano – Eller Studio

Project Location: Via di Monte Zebio, Rome

Built in 2025

The project concerns the renovation of an apartment in a 1920s building in the Delle Vittorie district. The intervention arises from the dialogue between different languages: the original building, the owner's world, and the contemporary touch of the architect. The reinforced concrete structure, with beams and columns innovative at the time, is showcased by leaving it exposed. Historic floors and windows, reclaimed from other contemporary renovations, have been reinserted alongside a new contemporary glass partition designed to dialogue with the original elements. The central theme is play: between parquet and terrazzo floors, and in the ceilings, where different heights and light cuts define the space. The walls are left neutral, allowing the owner to personalize the space with paintings, objects, and furniture from her life. A project connecting past and present through layers, recovery, and new interpretations.
